Any Bank account gets deactivated if there are no transactions for a certain period.Call your Bank and find out.The best thing is always close all accounts before you leave.

However its not the red/green dot count thats bothering me, its this needless 'sniping' using this dots system has started becoming too much on IV now. There is a reason why while giving a red dot it asks you to give a reason. Getting a red dot without a reason is like someone in the street pushing you as you are going about your own merry ways. Actually its worse, atleast in the street you can push back, or ask why they pushed you, here its like getting hit by a stone as you are walking, and you turn around and see no one. that feeling is what I hate and I get when I see red dots to innocent or even helpful posts..

Yes, I am also going through the same process. But if you pay off everything, you have to pay 2% of your loan amount as penalty fee.

I personally think 1 yr+ wait should work. But definitely take the letters-to-congressmen route first.

When things are all set..... I wonder when that will be.... Will it be after one gets RN... or GC.. or Citizenship...
I would have reported the doctor's mix up, but the staff at the clinic said that they didnt know they had to provide a supplimentary form.. as per them, the I-693 didnt say a suppli form had to be sent.. i didnt bother to check if what they were saying is true, becoz its not in our hands anyway.. hopefully it will only be a RFE.. and my lawyer did say they will send the new sealed envelopes to USCIS once they get the receipts..

If you apply for extnsion, please keep in mind your parents stays in US until you receive their approval extension. If they travel outside the while case pending and if they try to renter before case is approved, they will deny at POE and cancel and 10 Year multiple visa. Be very careful here.
I applied for an extension for my mother-in-law. It was approved several months after her I-94 expiration date. But she left to India two days before her I-94 expiration date. I even sent a letter asking them to cancel/withdraw my application. They didnt care and went ahead and approved. When it came, it was pretty much useless!
What I heard was, when you apply for an extension, the stay after I-94 expiration date is approved by US Attorney general for certain number of days. We didn't pursue that option since we thought that it could jeopardize her subsequent trip.

My company is closing offices and we all will be working from home. My I140 is cleared and I am in process of extending my H1 which expires in june 09.company has no office at India.
I want to know for how long I can work from India on H1 being on US payroll?
You are not any visa status when you are not present in the USA.
As per as your working in India, you are subject to Indian labor (should I write, labour) laws and income taxes. It does not matter currency you are paid. What matter is, your physical location during the work performed for the employer.

I got 485 Card production order and welcome notice email yesterday . I am assuming that means I got PR . my company has filed for H1 -B extension last week itself . what will happen to that extension , do we need to revoke/withdraw that petition ?
has anyone being in this situation ?

If you do invoke AC-21, you might have problems with your petition as there seems to be a big difference between a Sr. Program Manager and a Programmer Analyst.
However, if i were you, i would still take up the new role and send in the AC21. There is a possibilityt hat they will approve it.

You may not be in position to get exp letters from previous employers due to various reasons e.g., company is closed or they give exp letters in a set format which does not mention what you did there.
In such scenarios Experience letter from X-Colleague or X-Manager from the same company with/under whom you worked will be OK. X-colleague/Manager does not have to be in that company now.
I gave an experience letter to one of my friends who worked in my group in India.
He got his EAD.
Ask the lawyer what kind of language should be there on the exp letter... My friends lawyer gave the language to him.
The person issuing the exp letter has to mention how he knows the applicant and under what capacity you were working,
contact information etc etc.

I think best option will be to use Consular Processing for your EB2 petition. You will have your GC very soon if PD remains current (which is very likely in your case).

Barking dogs seldom bite. He is just another Lou Dobbs Please ignore him. There is no way he can change the right to cictizenship for children born in the USA. It is next to impossible since it is a part of the constitution. It is very difficult to change something that is linked to the constitution. So, ignore this "BARKING DOG."
